Meet Catalinas Community Chorus

The 50 member Catalinas Community Chorus in now in its 6th season. The chorus was founded by Cyndee Chaffee in January 2006. This season we welcome Bill Bellah, Interim Artistic Director. The mission of the chorus includes bringing the beauty and inspiration of excellent choral music to the community. In both its partnerships and fundraising efforts, CCC is strongly focused on programs and projects that support music for children.

The chorus sings a variety of musical styles including Broadway, pop, spiritual and classical. We have partnered with the Tucson Girls Chorus, Southern Arizona Symphony Orchestra, Arizona Symphonic Winds, Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance and the Tucson Jazz Institute.

Our current season has two themes. The 2011 November concerts are in honor of our military “Salute to Veterans”. The April 2012 concerts will celebrate Arizona’s 100 Anniversary “Arizona Sings”.

The chorus is an all volunteer, non-sectarian, community based organization. Membership is open to all adult singers and new members are always welcome. Rehearsals are Monday evenings August through April from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church located at 7575 N. Paseo del Norte, Tucson.

The chorus is available to perform for business functions, social events, community programs and fundraisers.
