William “Bill” Bellah - Interim Artistic Director

Bill, a native Tucsonan, studied at the University of Arizona, School of Music, in Music Education. He received his baccalaureate degree in applied music, biological sciences and education from Anderson University in Indiana in 1971.

Education and early experience took him to Kentucky, Ohio and California before returning to Arizona in 1975.

He has served as Director of Music in several different churches and established The Desert Tones, Red Letter Edition and Vocal Seniority while participating in the Layne Justus Chorale and the Tucson Master Singers.

Marjorie Ahlstrand - Accompanist

Marjorie received a Bachelor of Music Education from Augustana College in Rock Islands, Illinois, and a Master of Music from Vandercook College of Music in Chicago, Illinois.

She taught in Illinois and in the music ministry of the Lutheran Church for over 40 years.

Currently, Marge serves as a church musician at Lutheran Church of the Foothills in Tucson and also directs Grace Notes, a women’s choral ensemble.
